Journalism and Graphic Communication

Welcome to FAMU’s Journalism and Graphic Communication Community!

About Journalism and Graphic Communication:

Gathering and processing information to create and disseminate messages is the core of careers in journalism, public relations, and graphic design. Rattlers actively learn how to do this for a digital environment at the School of Journalism and Graphic Communication (SGJC).

What does Professional Development (PD) look like for Journalism and Graphic Communication:

PD for these majors include an internship in the chosen sequence. A student who chooses a major in one of these fields should enjoy public speaking and writing. Requires a skillset that includes active listening, social perceptiveness, reading comprehension, and critical thinking. In addition, you must be comfortable with the use of technology and social media.
