    Employers conduct resume critiques to help prepare students for the job application process.

  • Build Your Brand – Presentations ↓

    Workshops & Classroom Presentations

    We encourage you to engage with students by leading professional development workshops in the classroom. These workshops are aligned with the FAMU Strike in Four: Career Action Plan and the NACE Career Competencies.  Topics include resume development and critiques, interviewing skills, developing leadership for career success, electronic etiquette, and social media footprint.

  • Build Your Brand – Mock Interview Day ↓

    Mock Interview Days

    A practice interview for students with professionals. Each interview lasts approximately 20 minutes and then the student is given constructive feedback to help them improve their interview skills.

  • Recruit – Micro-Internships ↓

    Micro-Internships

    Employers may provide a flexible, short-term, paid professional assignment, similar to a consulting or contractor position. Unlike a traditional semester-long internship, micro-internship projects will usually involve between 5 and 40 hours of work. The work can be done remotely and is offered throughout the year.

    Career Expos/Fairs

    The Career and Internship Expos are held in the fall and spring at the beginning of each semester.  Over 150 employers participate in each event and recruit students from all majors and classifications.  The Expo provides students and employers networking opportunities as well as provides a mechanism for the pre-selection interview process.

    Employer Snack Chat (Information Sessions)

    Share information about your company, the hiring process, and what you look for in a candidate.  At the “Employer Snack Chat” 5 employers will have the opportunity to meet with a group of interested students and alumni to share information about your company/organization and discuss career opportunities.

    Information Tables

    Company representatives may occupy a table in our student commons area to distribute company literature and speak to students about career opportunities with your organization.

    Dates may be arranged to interview candidates in our office for current or projected openings within your organization.
