The FAMU Strike Forward Program guides you through pathways for academic and career success, equipping you with the tools to graduate on time and be ready for career success while clarifying your academic and career goals. By participating in the program, you’ll earn digital badges across pathways such as academic success, financial wellness, career development, and social integration. The program’s pathways are embedded into specific courses, academic programs, and learning experiences that you’ll complete as your progress toward education. The pathways are designed to serve as a roadmap for your success to stay focused on academic and career goals and connect with resources and mentors to support your progression at FAMU.General Education Competency
Demonstrate your knowledge and skills gained in general education core competencies by receiving digital badges that can set you apart in the job market upon graduation. Presently, the available digital badge is the “Fundamentals of Written Communication”. By completing the college course associated with this badge, you will demonstrate information literacy, comprehension of written material, and conveying information in writing for a variety of rhetorical purposes and audiences. You will enhance your personal communication skills and convey to future employers that you have acquired vital skills needed for professional success. As of fall 2022, FAMU will automatically award this digital badge if you enroll and complete the courses, ENC 1101 or ENC 1121 with a grade of “C” or better. Other digital badges will be awarded as they become available.Benefits of the Rattler Ready Program

The program is flexible and personalized, allowing you to choose from a diverse range of badges, and recognizes the impact of non-traditional learning happening outside of the classroom through internships, project-based work, volunteer experience, and more.
