This is an open posting for a Reclamation Specialist Internship position at our White Springs, FL facility.
This role is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
Dates/Terms:
- Summer Internship
- May 28, 2024 – August 16, 2024 (Dates may be adjusted to coincide with school terms)
Housing: Provided by the facility (1 bed/1 bath furnished w/ utilities)
What you will do:
Work with the Mine Planning Department to assist the site with various duties, including:
- Designing reclamation projects
- Modifying the Conceptual Reclamation Plan
- Preparing Wetland Resources permit Applications
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled and in a Reclamation, Ecological Restortation, Conservation, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent related program with a graduation date of August 2024 or later.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be able to work at outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
