Essential Duties and Overall Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to the following, as other duties may be assigned:
Purchasing
- Works with Project Manager to ensure good decisions for the company and project during the buyout process
- Addresses schedule in Subcontractor Scope
- Assists in preparation of complete subcontract Scope of Work
- Fully reviews drawings & specifications in preparation of subcontractor scope
- Assists PM in following up with Purchase Orders and Subcontracts with Vendors
- Understands contract documents and identifies gaps in the systems
Documentation
- Works alongside PM & Superintendent to properly document project information such as material logs, look ahead schedules, work order tickets, RFI creation and organization, meeting minutes, etc.
Subcontractor/Vendors Management
- Maintains open communication with subcontractors/vendors
- Works with PMs and Superintendents to recognize underperforming subcontractors/vendors timely with project notifications.
- Reviews subcontractor/vendor change order proposals for accuracy of quantities, conformance with contract documents and subcontractor scope of work
General Contractor Relationships
- Handles clients’ needs with a sense of Urgency
- Adapts to different clients individual personalities, needs and wants
- Handles misc. GC requests promptly.
- Participates in GC Subcontractor Meetings as needed
Project Safety
- Actively assists project superintendent with enforcement of site safety
- Provides assistance to project superintendent in Tool Box Talks and safety audits
Project Schedule
- Distributes overall project schedule with updates weekly
- Will take necessary actions to maintain or improve project schedule
- Keeps current on weekly job site work activities by updating Sequence Completion Forms and Drawings.
Teamwork
- Shows respect for duties of other team members.
- As needed works with Field Engineer to assist in performing Layout
- Supports and interacts with Field Supervision to perform as a cohesive team.
- Can identify quality issues in the field and communicate them accordingly
Qualifications/Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of products such as Microsoft Suite and a willingness to learn other industry related programs such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift/ E-Takeoff.
