Zenger News, the world’s first digitally native news wire, seeks interns for full-time editorial positions beginning in April, May and June. These opportunities can last for an academic term, for the summer of 2021, or for longer if circumstances warrant.
Interns perform a wide variety of tasks including research, editing and reporting. They also learn about the news business and help us develop a best-in-class content management system that we’re building with the future in mind.
Our interns have byline opportunities, and we pair them with professional editors who can help them develop their craft. One Zenger intern in the winter of 2020-21 was published in Newsweek.
Zenger is 100 percent virtual. Our senior staff live and work in three different U.S. time zones. This internship does not require any physical attendance, but interns in Washington, D.C. may have opportunities to cover live events with professional reporters.
All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply. Zenger fosters diversity in its ranks and does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, handicap, nationality, citizenship, religion or political views.
Check with your Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting to determine how you might do this internship for credit.
