Internships Expires May 3, 2021

This is a 6 month paid internship across five states and multiple hospitals. The cohort of nurses will start August 2021. At the end of the internship there is a two-year commitment to one of the hospitals. To apply, send a resume and cover letter to megan.bailey@hsc.utah.edu by Friday, April 23rd, 2021.

We will set up, and pay for all of your housing during the internship. We will also reimburse for driving travel to each new location. We do require that you have a vehicle, so that you can drive to and from each location. Full-time employment and benefits.

This nurse internship program is not your standard new graduate nurse on-boarding for most hospitals. It will be a very intensive program with lots of education and training. Some weeks you may work your 3 12 hour shifts, and then four hours of education. Or other weeks you may do 2 12 hour shifts and the rest education for that week. The University of Utah Health Airmed team will be teaching classes along with online and hands on learning from various platforms. We will also have projects and biweekly meetings.

You will start the program training as a general medical surgical nurse. During the program the Regional Network hospitals will identify their open nursing positions that are suitable for the nurse interns. The nurse interns will be provided a list of nursing jobs available and you will rank your choices in the order you would prefer employment. The Regional Network Leadership team will then decide which nurses will be chosen for the open nursing positions.

Due to not knowing where you will be working before the program starts, we want to make sure you would be willing to work at any of our locations! We have hospitals in Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, and Idaho!

We hire associate RN and BSN nurses.

We are investing a lot of time and training into you as a nurse so you can be successful, therefore there will be a financial commitment to this program if you choose to leave early.

I know that was a lot of info! Any questions? If you are interested, I would like to set up a phone call to go over the details! email me at megan.bailey@hsc.utah.edu
