Professor Devin Pope is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to work as a full-time research assistant for a period of at least one year. The preferred start date is July 1, 2021 although accommodations can be made for an earlier or later start. The review of applications will begin on March 8, 2021.

The job will entail close collaboration on a number of new and ongoing projects in applied behavioral economics with Professor Pope. Previous research assistants of Professor Pope and other faculty at Booth have gone on to Ph.D. programs at top schools around the country.

If interested, please fill out this online survey (https://forms.gle/yGFBDn7Fhhhivewq7) and this formal application (https://uchicago.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/External/job/Hyde-Park-Campus/Research-Professional_JR10065).

The ideal candidate will have (i) a strong quantitative background, (ii) strong computer skills including programming, (iii) the ability to work independently to solve problems, and (iv) a long-term interest in pursuing research in economics and/or psychology. An annual salary of $50,000 and standard benefits such as health insurance are provided. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience by the start date. Work experience may include unpaid class work.
