At TECKpert, we help companies hire both full-time and part-time tech teams for projects from 1 month – 2 years. Additionally, we hire internally for our own in-house job opportunities. We have grown a lot in the past year and need help managing the first steps of our vetting process.
The internship will have 2 primary roles.
1) Reach out to our applicants who have shown interest in a role we posted in our app primarily via phone. You will be given a list of questions to ask. As this is the first step of the process, it will usually be about skills and time requirements. For example, “The project requires someone who is skilled in XYZ development, have you ever done that before?” Or “The job will require 20 hours of work/week for 8 weeks starting on this date. Do you have the capacity for that amount of work?”
2) This might be the first time someone is hearing from one of us at TECKpert. We want this to be a good experience full of the respect they deserve. We strive to give the best opportunities to our applicants. If the applicant has feedback about their experience navigating our app or the process of selecting a job. We value that information so we can improve our services to our applicants. This can be a hard time for our applicants while they are trying to find a good fit for their skills inside an organization or a project. So occasionally, offering helpful tips on how to navigate our app is very beneficial.
1) Access to a phone (for phone calls) and computer (and emails).
2) 10-15 hours/week
4) Organizational skills to track what applicants have been vetted through step 1, their answers and moving applicants to phase 2.
