Intern with local non-governmental organizations in India focused on protecting the environment and advocating for animal care.
With the largest human population in the world, India is at risk of severe impacts on the sustainability and well-being of their environment and wildlife. In an effort to better the daily lives of citizens while working to preserve the natural and wildlife environment, these organizations put forth initiatives that understand the importance and connection between these factors. These organizations focus on policies that promote waste management/recycling, air quality improvement, sustainable agricultural practices, solar energy, and advocating for open culture and circular economy principles.
Dedicated to animal welfare as well, these organizations include animal rescue groups, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and sanctuaries, where animals are brought to live and be protected for the rest of their lives. By supporting the habitats and ecosystems present in the local regions, these organizations simultaneously work to implement sustainable practices in different sectors of society. As an intern, you can engage in meaningful work in environmental sustainability, wildlife preservation, and overall community well-being.
