The Functional Food Center (FFC) is currently seeking interns to participate in various stages of marketing for FFC products and conferences. This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals to work in a dynamic team environment and gain broad experience in different aspects of marketing. The internship requires a total commitment of 200 hours, with a flexible start date and a commitment of 15-20 hours per week.
Job Description:
- Our marketing efforts primarily target scientists, food industry professionals, healthcare professionals, and researchers.
- Interns will be involved in promoting various FFC initiatives, including our Functional Food Science textbook series, international conferences, Certified Functional Food Scientist/Professional programs, and scientific journals and articles.
- Responsibilities will include creating awareness of our journal and society through social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and others.
- Interns will publish and distribute bi-weekly FFC newsletters to designated LinkedIn groups and individuals.
- Working on sponsorship partnerships for FFC international conferences and academic journals.
- Utilizing various marketing tools for advertising conferences and textbooks, including Amazon and Kindle.
- Communicating with scientists and health professionals from around the world.
- Presenting and participating in our weekly seminars about our products and programs.
- Collaborating with other FFC interns on various projects.
Learning Outcomes:
- Gain hands-on experience in marketing strategies and techniques.
- Develop proficiency in utilizing social media platforms for marketing purposes.
- Enhance communication skills through interaction with professionals in the scientific community.
- Learn about the process of organizing international conferences and promoting academic journals.

Supervision:
Interns will be under the supervision of Dr. Martirosyan and our experienced team at the Functional Food Center. Throughout the internship, they will receive comprehensive guidance and support to ensure a fulfilling learning experience. In instances where academic credit is sought, it is mandatory to be supervised by Dr. Danik Martirosyan. Academic Credit:
While this is an unpaid internship, we offer the possibility of academic credits to students who require them for their academic programs. Additionally, upon completion of the internship, interns will receive certificates and other benefits outlined below.
