This fellowship is intended for students currently enrolled in college who are interested in a career in government, public administration, or communications. The ideal candidate should possess good reading comprehension, strong written communication skills, and an ability to work well within a team setting.
Fellows will follow one of three tracks: Community, Communications, or Policy. The Community track will give fellows exposure to how a legislative office helps people in need. The Communications track will give fellows exposure to how a legislative office creates content for the public and how it manages press relations. The Policy track will expose fellows to the legislative process. This is NOT a campaign role/position.
This is a voluntary position that will only require about 8 hours per week for the duration of the fellowship, January 11, 2022 – April 29, 2022. Due to COVID-19, it will mostly be a virtual fellowship until further notice. However, there will be opportunities to attend community events and if part of the Policy team, will regularly attend in-person at the State Capitol in Tallahassee. The deadline to apply is December 10th at 5 pm. Questions? Email us at Taddeo.Annette.Web@flsenate.gov
