Position Summary:
Responsible for Platinum Group Metals (PGM) management, logistics management, and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism Program (CTPAT) in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
- Work with internal and external parties to confirm PGM demand to maintain USA based inventory.
- Manage internal and external suppliers to ensure PGM process is followed to support HMMA production plan.
- Confirm and report monthly savings amounts under the PGM process.
- Coordinate inland transportation from point of import to point of sale.
- Issue purchase orders and maintain pricing in VAATZ based on confirmed PGM pricing.
- Perform annual audit for CTPAT for HMMA; evaluate all areas of the program for HMMA and report to Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- Prepare, report, and implement Request for Quotation (RFQ) for local and foreign based shipments.
- Arrange expedited transportation (air, trucking) to support and meet HMMA production plan.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Glovis container utilization rates.
- Support and generate cost saving initiatives for logistics and PGM process.
- Maintain updated supply base information database.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business management System (BMS), Environmental Systems Management (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) guidelines.
- Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired
Related Experience:
- 0 -10 year job related experience preferred
Skills / Knowledge:
- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- SAP
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn additional responsibilities
Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
