Is your office open?

At this time our office is conducting most of our operations virtually using Zoom. We would be happy to assist you with any needs you may have. You may email us at careercenter@famu.edu and someone will be in touch with you very soon.


I requested an appointment on campus. What do I do?

All on campus appointments will be conducted via Zoom until further notice. Please send an email to careercenter@famu.edu to confirm the appointment and proved the name of staff member.

How can I post positions for FAMU students to apply?

During this time, the best way to reach FAMU students and alumni is by posting job and internships opportunities in Handshake. Please visit to get started, HireARattler or login to if you’ve already created an account. Once you have an approved account, you will be able to post opportunities for FAMU students and alumni to view and apply.

Are visitors allowed on campus?

FAMU’s goal is to reduce the number of people on campus including visitors in order to slow the potential transmission of the virus and protect vulnerable populations from exposure. All members of the FAMU community are asked to help in this effort. Events with speakers invited from off campus whether the speakers are international or domestic will be cancelled, postponed, or conducted remotely. Job interviews for open positions should be conducted remotely via video or teleconferencing tools, like Zoom, or by telephone.
